This is perfect. I have been feeling overwhelmed by the fast, major, and constant changes occurring in my life recently (mostly in a good way… mostly) and having a place to collect all of my thoughts and photos on my progress and projects seems like something I could really use.
Since the last time I opened this page, I have been divorced, moved, watched my son grow smarter and stronger every day, found new love, started smoking again, quit smoking again, starting smoking an e-cigarette, stopped drinking (14 months alcohol-free!), started doing yoga, learned to surf, ran a few 5Ks, learned to crochet, stopped using film, started using film again, started private pilot school (still working on that), began learning graphic design (still working on that, too), and lots of other crazy/awesome/weird/awkward/difficult/fun/amazing things.
Chronicling this is something I want to do for myself. If anyone else likes what they see here, that will be a nice bonus.
wow, the colors from ur holga pics are amazing. what film do u use
Thank you! I switch back and forth between Fujicolor Pro 160S and Kodak Portra 160nc… the Fujicolor is expired, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I also use color flashes in a lot of my daylight pictures.
"I am not afraid of robots. I am afraid of people, people, people. I want them to remain human. I can help keep them human with the wise and lovely use of books, films, robots, and my own mind, hands, and heart.
I am afraid of Catholics killing Protestants and vice versa.
I am afraid of whites killing blacks and vice versa.
I am afraid of English killing Irish and vice versa.
I am afraid of young killing old and vice versa.
I am afraid of Communists killing Capitalists and vice versa.
But…robots? God, I love them. I will use them humanely to teach all of the above. My vo-ice will speak out of them, and it will be a damned nice voice.
